Learning is for Everyone is a not-for-profit education resource organization empowering families and learners with
information and networking resources at all stages of life, on the web and off. Our goal is to support the Curiosity Driven Life – to help inspire the lifelong love of learning that we all need to live intentionally, meaningfully and successfully in the 21st century.
Our hope is that you will use our ever growing resources and networking capabilities to actively energize and strengthen learning opportunities in your community and to share back your lessons learned with ours, so we can do more than just talk about how to improve learning opportunities for more people – We can make it happen!
We support a broad array of community-based and online learning opportunities and initiatives, including:
STEM Education – Our high school level robotics team, FIRST Tech Challenge Team Duct Tape, continues to be a highly successful proving ground for community-based STEM education. Now in its third season, FTC Team Duct Tape has provided direct science and technology experiences, in collaboration with mentors across the Central FL area, for hundreds of area students, from the teens directly involved with the team, to the youth we’ve reached through exhibits and outreach programs, and LEGO engineering camps.
Learning is for Everyone works to connect professionals in the community with youth interested in learning more about a particular field or trade. LIFE hopes to expand our mentoring program over the next year.
Our annual family-friendly Celebration of Learning (formerly known as LIFE Fest) featuring interactive programs, community resources, education related vendors and much more.
Learning is for Everyone led the organization and hosting of Florida’s first-ever TEDxYouth event, TEDxYouthatTampaBay, an independently organized TED program designed to engage youth in the sharing of big ideas and deep discussions with others who believe in living intentionally and with meaning in our world.
Informal Learning Support via the statewide support and networking group, LIFE of Florida, and regional groups, as well as nationwide resources and networking opportunities through our website Resource Guide.
Interactive Online Support and Networking via our website forum and wiki, and online learning portal, the University of LIFE.
